By placing an order with us you will be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.


1.1 Some of our upholstered headboards and other products are made using fabrics which may lighten with age and exposure to heat and sunlight.

1.2 We will aim to match the colour and texture of the fabric of your headboard and accessories, to the samples chosen, as accurately as possible, but variations in colour may sometimes occur.  Note that photographs are illustrations of the product and may not be an exact match. They do not form part of the contract.


2.1 It is your responsibility to ensure that the headboard ordered will pass freely through any planned access into your home.

2.2 The measurements of all products listed on our website will be as accurate as possible, but are nevertheless approximate.


3.1 All prices include VAT, where appropriate, at the prevailing rate.


4.1 The quantity and description of the goods you have ordered are set out in your customer order / order confirmation e-mail. Please check these details are correct. It is the order confirmation that forms our contract with you. If you are uncertain about the details on the order confirmation please contact us for help.


5.1 All our products are sold on the basis that they are for domestic use only. If you are intending to use them in a business / public environment, please advise us prior to placing your order.


6.1 We use paypal to handle the transaction securely.  You may pay by paypal, credit or debit card at the time of order. You may also pay by cheque, in which case your order will not be manufactured until your cheque has been cleared. The price of any product is the price in force at the date and time of your order. You undertake that all details you provide to us for the purpose of purchasing products, which may be offered by us on our website, will be correct; that the credit charge or debit card which you use is your own, and that there are sufficient funds or credit facilities to cover the cost of any products. We reserve the right to obtain validation of your credit charge or debit card details before accepting your order.

6.2 Payment will be taken in full at the time of the order.

6.3 The contract shall not have been concluded until we have received your valid payment details, accepted your order and sent you confirmation by return e-mail to the address you have given us during the ordering process.

6.4 We reserve the right to refuse any order placed by you.


7.1 A delivery service is offered to the outside door of your delivery address. Please make sure your order confirmation shows a complete and correct delivery address and arrangements are in place to get access on the day of delivery. Otherwise a re-delivery charge will be incurred.


8.1 Under the terms of the Distance Selling Regulations (2000), you have a cooling-off period of 7 working days. The cooling-off period commences the day after the delivery of the goods and the period ends 7 working days later. In such circumstances, you must inform the company in writing before the end of the 7th working day following delivery. You are responsible for the safe storage of the goods whilst in your care and the cost of returning goods to us. If you decide not to keep a product, it must be returned without damages, and without any use or tampering with the original packaging otherwise the goods will not be accepted and a refund not permitted. When the goods have been fully inspected after their return, we will refund the price which will be paid within 30 days of the goods having been returned. This does not affect your statutory rights.

8.2 Subject to your statutory rights, products that are made or altered specifically for you, or where an item has been produced to a bespoke design or a precise customer specification, may not be returned under any circumstances unless defective or has been accidentally damaged in the course of delivery. All claims for damage must be notified within 7 days.

8.3 If we deliver incorrect or damaged goods, or in the event that you discover any defect in the goods for which you require compensation or other remedy, you must report the defect within 7 days of the date you receive them by contacting us in writing. Please keep the products purchased in a saleable condition and retain the original packaging in the condition it was provided.

8.4 We will not be liable for any damage or loss resulting from repairs attempted by you or third parties.


9.1 The Big Headboard Co. undertakes to seek to resolve any customer complaint within 14 days of written notification from the customer. If you have any complaints, please contact our Customer Service department on


10.1 The will process your data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.


11.1 This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.


12.1 The provisions of this clause apply in addition to your statutory consumer rights in relation to faulty products. These rights are not affected by the guarantee.

12.2 All wood frame products carry a 1 year construction guarantee. If the frame breaks or fails, we will repair or replace, if necessary, with the same model if available or another model to the same value. Please note, this guarantee applies to frames only; the guarantee does not cover legs, fabric or cushion interiors.

12.3 This guarantee does not cover wear and tear; neglect; abuse or misuse of your goods; loss or damage due to fire, smoke, water, lightning, sunlight, weather, rusting, corrosion, theft or explosion; accidental damage or loss or damage caused by a third party.

12.4 In the event of a claim under guarantee occurring, please either email or call us on 01325 485260 with the following information:

  • Your Order Number
  • Your contact details
  • A comprehensive summary of the problem

12.5 We will arrange to repair or replace the defective or incorrect item free of charge. Should a part no longer be available, it will be replaced with a part that most closely matches it.

12.6 We will not be liable for any direct or indirect loss of profits or other financial loss or damage arising out of defective, damaged or wrongly delivered products over and above the value of the goods themselves.

This does not affect your statutory rights.
